Hello!
I am currently a Pediatric Endocrinology Fellow at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, completing my final year of fellowship. I completed my Resident Physician training at Nemours Children's Hospital in Wilmington Delaware, and completed my medical school training at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. I was a non-traditional medical student, and did two years of basic science research at Boston Children's Hospital and earned my Master's with BU Medical School before starting medical school in NJ.
My current short-term plans are to stay at my fellowship institution with a K12 grant to complete my basic science diabetes research with mitochondria and beta-cells, and my long-term goals are to move back towards home in the NJ/NY/CT area and establish my own lab as an independent physician-scientist! I'm looking foward to mentorship in navigating the transition from fellow to junior faculty, the research-physician path, gransmenship, and general career/life advice. Thanks so much!
